About
I am James R. McCarthy. I go by Jim. Operations executive leading one of the few genuine AI-native operating-model transformations in hard services. I own a $495M P&L within a $600M+ technology-enabled facilities platform. Over two decades I have scaled complex, service-based businesses in private-equity-backed and public-company environments, from M&A integration and five-nines infrastructure to public-company turnaround and AI-native operating systems shipped in months, not years.
I believe AI-native operating models produce startup build velocity at incumbent scale. Builder, product, and operator roles are converging. When build compresses, the bottleneck moves to design and review. The organizations that win will not buy the most tools. They will be the ones where everyone builds, with human judgment elevated on the decisions that carry accountability.
I treat AI as operating leverage, not theater. Speed is an advantage only when timing and enrollment are right. I replace narrative reporting with facts, owners, dates, closure definitions, and verification loops.
Building beyond operations
No Doubles Golf Co.
No Doubles is a father-son project built for average golfers who want to improve without tips, jargon, or gimmicks. Under the hood it runs a full end-to-end video pipeline: MediaPipe motion analysis, biomechanical swing mathematics, AI-supported interpretation, and golf mobility integration for restricted and adaptive movement.
Carevazo
A family-first care coordination platform designed from the care recipient outward, not from caregiver, provider, payer, or institutional workflow inward.
The mission is personal. We live it through my daughter, her husband, and our grandsons, and through elder care as grandparents aged. Families are experts on the people they care for. The product has to earn that trust.
Bob Miller Memorial Scholarship
Bob Miller was my father-in-law, a lifelong educator, guidance counselor, and one of the founding faculty members at Mountain View High School.
When he passed, our family created a scholarship in his name. It is not meant to recognize simply the brightest student, but a graduating senior who has worked hard to overcome adversity, shown exceptional academic improvement, and recognizes that education is an opportunity to improve themselves and their family, someone very much like Bob.
